Everyday Spaces of Healthcare
Everyday Spaces of Healthcare is a collection of case studies by William F. Conway FAIA, funded by a research grant from the Thomas Horty Healthcare Design and Build Fund, Conway+Schulte Architects, and the University of Minnesota College of Design. Problems and possibilities facing designers and clients are reviewed in a select series of contemporary healthcare facilities. The case studies introduce readers to innovative approaches to four familiar territories: gardens, pathways, waiting areas, and retail. The research recognizes the benefits that can accrue from attention to them, and presents findings for those in the healthcare design industry.
